Finally, a conclusion

I know I said that I wouldn't talk about this any longer, but I just had to let you all know what happened. (I just got home, so that is why the update is so late.)

I called The Lampo Group to confirm the address and was told that they would not accept opened product, because they can't resell them. I tried to explain that Jeanette (the woman I spoke with yesterday) knew that the product was opened, blah, blah, blah. The woman just kept saying "You will have to speak to a supervisor..." and transfered me. I got a voice mail box so I hung up. I figured that there was no point talking to a supervisor if they could not accept returns, and that I would just resell the ebay kit.

Five minutes later my phone rang. It was the woman I spoke with telling me that there has been some mis-communication. She spoke with Jeannette and was told that a credit had been issued yesterday. Long story short... they are giving me 100% of my money back and will not accept the kit back. I tried to explain to her that if I am keeping the kit, I will pay for it. It was my 'mistake' (whether based on misinformation or not, it was still my mistake) and I will pay for it. She said that "We want you to keep it and use it, because we know that it works."

Now who feels like a schmuck?

So now I have two kits. We have decided to either donate the ebay kit to someone or sell it and give the money to charity.

I would like to think it was my mad writing skills - what with my über persuasive 1:30am email - but honestly I just think that they are just nice people who were tired of dealing with me.
